How to choose (no sales pitch)

  • Space & posture. Model Y is the taller crossover with more cargo volume in these figures (boot litres from the lineup file). Model 3 is the lower saloon.
  • Price. At this retrieval, Model 3 RWD is the cheapest entry OTR; Model Y RWD sits higher. Compare like-for-like trims in the tables.
  • Range. WLTP miles differ by trim — read the column, then expect less in winter (winter range).
  • Features. Software features are largely shared; see Tesla features explained.
  • Costs. Same energy maths either way — running costs. Company car? BIK calculator.
