What Musk ACTUALLY wrote:
"Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for OFFENSIVE DRONE STRIKES to kill people."
What the BBC told you he said:
Musk "accused Ukraine of violating its terms of service by using it for MILITARY ACTIVITY."
Those are NOT the same thing.
Further down the SAME article, the BBC quotes Musk saying Starlink "CAN be used for infrastructure that is military."
Starlink is a CIVILIAN service. Defensive use is allowed. OFFENSIVE STRIKES are not.
For military operations, there's Starshield, a separate system controlled by the US government.
Now look at what Ukraine itself says about Starlink.
Ukraine's Defence Minister, this week: "important for our front, for our soldiers, for the operation of drones, for logistics and for communications."
The BBC itself says Kyiv RELIES on Starlink, and its own headline asks whether Europe can "plug the gap."
Everyone agrees Starlink is CRUCIAL to Ukraine's defence.
And who built it, launched it, and got it there in the first days of the war when Russia was jamming everything else?
Musk's SpaceX.
The BBC's article doesn't mention that once.
Instead, it hands the reaction to a Ukrainian adviser calling Musk's post "very strange".
Change one word in the opening line, leave out the context, and the whole story changes.
That's not reporting. That's BIAS.
